Giving

Throughout Scripture, we are encouraged to give the first part of our resources to God as an expression of honor and gratitude.

Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. (Proverbs 3:9–10)

Giving Stock

Many of you choose to give to Good Shepherd through stock sales or IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions. Thank you! Often, when the church receives these gifts, they come in the form of a check with your broker’s or financial institution’s name, without any indication of the donor’s name. If you are planning to give in this manner, please contact the church office to give a “heads up” notice to be on the lookout for the gift. Otherwise, we may be unable to assign your name to the gift.
